Bus tour celebrates Glastonbury’s 325th Anniversary

On Sunday, May 20th, journey through 325 years of Glastonbury history. The narrated bus tour, which will start at the Riverside Community Center on Welles Street at 2:00 pm, will last approximately two hours. No walking is involved. Previous Historical Society of Glastonbury bus tours have been extremely popular and tickets are limited.
During the course of the two hour tour, the bus will voyage through Glastonbury’s rich shipbuilding, industrial, and agricultural roots. The tour will include historic homes, churches, schools, town halls, farming sites, manufacturing sites such as Cotton Hollow and Glastonbury’s airplane factory, shipyards, historic districts, and Glastonbury/Rocky Hill Ferry.
In order to arrange sufficient transportation, advanced registration is required. Seating is limited. Tickets are $10 each. Parking is available in the north parking lot of the community center. To reserve your seat, please call 860-633-6890 or email hsglastonbury@sbcglobal.net.
