The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Connecticut Westchester Hudson Valley Chapter will be hosting the Fairfield County Light The Night on Saturday, October 28th at Harbor Point Commons Park in Stamford, CT. Light The Night is an inspirational community event that raises awareness and funding for groundbreaking research and treatment options to eliminate blood cancers. When a loved one hears the words, “you have cancer," it is a dark and scary time. LLS’s Light The Night brings light to the darkness of cancer through hope, research, and support for patients, families, friends, doctors, nurses, researchers, colleagues, and caregivers. During this event, participants carry illuminated lanterns - white for survivors, red for supporters and gold in memory of loved ones lost to blood cancer.
The event begins at 5:00pm and will end approximately at 8:30pm, and will culminate with fireworks. The event includes activities, entertainment, and ceremonies between 5:00pm-7:00pm and a leisurely 1-2 mile walk beginning at 7:00pm.
