You can participate!  Learn how to straw braid, which was used to make hats, or to construct your own length of rope. Visit our petting zoo and meet various farm animals, including horses, chickens, bunnies, and goats. Watch the kitchen garden’s vegetables and tobacco being harvested and try your hand with flower arranging using dried flowers grown onsite.  This is a great fun filled day for your children and grandchildren as well!  Games and activities include bobbing for apples, a contest to “guess the weight of the pumpkin”, sack races, checkers, stilts, ring toss, soap carving, bowling, a scavenger hunt, English and French (tug of war), and leap frog and MORE!  Enjoy tours of historic treasure-filled barns, sheds, and the 1755 Connecticut River Valley mansion, the Welles-Shipman-Ward house.  As an added treat, Big Bear Trading Company will be onsite with an array of goods and colonial fifers will be traveling around the property adding beautiful music to the festivities.

Farm Day admission and activities are all FREE! General Parking is at St. Augustine Church, 55 Hopewell Rd. There is a path connecting the two properties at the rear of the parking lot.  Handicap parking is at the Welles-Shipman-Ward property.
