*The event has already taken place on this date: Fri, 06/22/2018
Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.
Begin the evening under the 44 ft. dome in the Captain Alan M. Bean
Planetarium, where we'll learn about the summer solstice and the night sky--including the
stories behind the stars and the constellations that humans have created by virtually
connecting these points of light -- drawing pictures in the sky.
Afterwards, we'll head outdoors for celestial viewing atop
Talcott Mountain! With a wide
array of telescopes at our disposal, we'll be looking for stars, planets (including Venus) and
other celestial gems including Ursa Major,
Gemini and other celestial gems!
$8 General Admission/$5 TMSC Members
Because seating is limited and events fill up quickly, we recommend making your reservations early!
*PLEASE ARRIVE ON TIME! Late arrivals will not be allowed to enter the planetarium
after the
presentation begins at 7:45pm; they will, however, be able to participate in outdoor
viewing
with the group when the planetarium program concludes.
