Skygazing at the Talcott Mountain Science Center

*The event has already taken place on this date: Thu, 05/26/2016
Bring your family and friends to see the stars, planets, the moon and more! Talcott's astronomers will fascinate you with the stories and mythological lore of the night sky. From our mountaintop vantage point comes an unobstructed view of the celestial sphere.

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.

Our planetarium is the largest of its kind in Connecticut where you can view the present or journey back in time. With Talcott's vast array of telescopes, you can peer deep into the past as you view distant planets, stars and galaxies that may be thousands of light years away.

Viewings will be planned around upcoming celestial phenomena such as meteor showers, comets, eclipses and conjunctions of the planets. All scheduled events are subject to change due to inclement weather. Private viewings may be scheduled for scout groups or private parties of 20 or more.
