Stepping Stones Museum for Children

At Stepping Stones, play is serious business.

Stepping Stones Museum for Children is not just any museum. It’s a fun, colorful and engaging environment that recognizes the value of play in promoting learning, creativity and discovery. As a special place where children of all ages are encouraged to explore, invent, test and observe, the museum is a leading destination for families, schools, groups and anyone seeking a “wow!” experience.

Stepping Stones' mission is to broaden and enrich the educational opportunities for children ages ten and under and to enhance their understanding of the world. The museum seeks to create an environment that inspires lifelong learning and supports parents, caregivers and educators as facilitators of children's explorations.

What children learn while they’re having so much fun is amazing. At Stepping Stones, the hands-on exhibits and educational programs engage, inspire and delight every child—and countless parents and caregivers, too. Plan on staying a while!

Stepping Stones Museum for Children is LEED Gold certified and includes solar panels, a green roof and even a wind turbine. Learn More
