The Newington Children's Theatre Company has opened enrollment for their Act Out classes. Throughout this class, participants are guided through rehearsals, learning techniques, terminology and skills in preparation for three public performances of a fully-produced one-act.
The Inspector Detector and the Case of the Precious Treasure begins, Monday, January 28 and runs through April 8. Dress Rehearsal is Thursday, April 11, with performances Friday, April 12, at 7pm and Saturday, April 13, at 2pm and 7pm.
When Pauline Precious inherits her grandfather’s estate, she tumbles into an evil plot filled with zany excitement! The yucky Baroness of Braunschweiger also has her eyes set on the treasure. Along with her bumbling helpers, she tries to snatch the treasure away from poor Pauline. Enter our hero, Inspector Detector, who is prepared to solve mystery after mystery (such as the haunting ghost!) and defeat the Baroness and her unsteady duo. Audiences and actors will love helping Inspector Detector put all of the pieces together in this delightful animated puzzle.
Classes and performances take place at the Newington Children's Theatre Company, located at 743 North Mountain Road in Newington. There is no audition. Everyone enrolled is cast in the production. Participation fee: $225. To register, visit www.NCTCArts.org.
