Reawaken Fairfield’s history with this creepy tour in the town’s centuries-old Burying Ground. Fairfield’s history comes alive in the town’s centuries-old Burying Ground when the spirits share the scary legends of days gone by. Feel your spine shiver listening to true ghost stories and local folklore as night descends and the dry leaves rustle in the trees. Did body snatching happen in the cemetery? Did witches really live in Fairfield? What do all those skulls on the grave stones mean? As you walk among the ancient gravestones of the Old Burying Ground, prepare to be greeted by some of the spellbinding characters buried there. Meet Eunice Burr, Samuel Smedley and Goody Knapp who was convicted and executed for witchcraft in 1653, while discovering long-buried legends that have haunted Fairfield for nearly 400 years.
