Lutz Children's Museum
Oak Grove Nature Center
The Oak Grove Nature Center is a fifty-two acre nature preserve operated by the Town of Manchester and the Lutz Children’s Museum, located at 269 Oak Grove Street, Manchester, CT.
Trails are open to the public from dawn until dusk. It is an ideal place to take a break from your busy day and enjoy a quiet walk in the woods.
The museum uses this building for outdoor education programs. The building itself is not open unless a specific program is scheduled. Additional information is available by contacting the Lutz Children’s Museum directly.
Summer Camp
We have a great summer planned filled with science, art, hikes, swimming, and animals! Each day begins with hands-on activities led by an experienced museum educator. Afternoons are devoted to playtime, swimming, crafts, and field trips.
Register for one, two, three, or all six weeks. We start on July 10th. Hours each day are from 8:30AM to 3:00PM, except on Fridays when we return from field trips at 5:00 PM.
The Oak Grove Nature Center offers fifty-two acres of land with trails, a pond, covered bridge, and a teaching building. The distance from Lutz Children’s Museum to the Oak Grove Nature Center is 1.5 miles.
