In Person Summer Camps at Stepping Stones

Starting June 20, bring your children to our award-winning children’s museum for weekly in-person and virtual summer camp experiences filled with obvious fun and hidden learning. Our experienced staff is ready to take them on an unforgettable adventure!

June 20 – 24

Paleontology 101 | In-person
Ages 5 – 8

Junior paleontologists unite! Let’s dig into Earth’s past and learn about some of the animals who lived here long ago, especially the famous dinosaurs, through hand-on activities and investigations. We will learn about the various traits of the animals, how they survived and their modern-day descendants. Learn about some of the famous discoveries and how paleontologists piece together the past.

June 27 – July 1

STEAM Lab | In-person
Ages 5 – 10

Innovation is the name of the game in this week of STEAM investigations. Discover how things work and then invent, create and build new toys, machines, structures and much more! Design solutions to everyday problems and work with your team to overcome obstacles. Your imagination knows no bounds.

July 5 – 8

Edible Art | In-person
Ages 5 – 10

Eating healthy can be fun and exciting when you make it an art! Spend time in our edible garden learning how to grow food. Harvest fresh fruits, vegetables and herbs to create a delicious dish. Trade utensils for paintbrushes and be inspired by artists who captured the rainbow of colors in the garden.

July 11 – 15

Animation Station | In-person
Ages 7 – 10

Learn the fundamentals of animation and explore different stop-motion animation techniques using clay, drawing, props and time-lapse video. Learn to tell a story without words and produce your first movie!

July 18 – 22

Space Mission | In-person
Ages 7 – 10

Blast off into a week filled with adventure as we orbit our planetary neighbors, stars, asteroids, satellites and beyond! Learn about recent space voyages and prepare for a rocket-launching mission of your own. Create nebula art, spacecrafts and much more! Expand your horizon in this stellar camp based on a NASA-developed curriculum.

July 25 – 29

Fantastic Fabric | In-person
Ages 5 – 10

Explore the world of textile art using materials such as yarn, felt and more to create exciting projects and mixed- media art. Learn skills that will open the door to endless possibilities and that you can continue to build upon. See an old t-shirt with new eyes after this week that weaves together fabric with fun!

August 8 – 12

Storybook Theater | In-person
Ages 5 – 10

Lift a story off the page and bring it to the stage! Through improvisation, playwriting and music making, we will hone our stage skills and harness our imaginations, as we enter into the world of stories and bring our audience along.

**Camp workshop activities will be held outdoors whenever possible and will focus on the week’s theme and will be adjusted according to the age of each child. Indoor facilities for workshops are available if needed.
