Pull up a chair and sit right down at the Robot Restaurant! Build and program resident Connecticut Science Center robots to create an exciting and satisfying restaurant of the future. Preparing the ingredients, greeting the diners, serving the entrees -- robots do it all! What will be your programming recipe that gives your customers an experience they will never forget?
July 15–19: Pirates
Ahoy, maties! Hop aboard a pirate ship for a swashbuckling adventure exploring Science Isle! Solve the riddles of an ancient map to recover the pirate treasure, harness powerful winds to carry your ship, and navigate through the treacherous waters of the high seas. Arrrr you ready to be part of the crew?
July 29–August 2: Animal Inspired Science
There is a world of wonderful, crazy, and odd animal life that lives here on planet Earth. Join us as we explore the world of the living and investigate weird animal adaptations, how animals do what they do, and how that can teach us to solve human problems.
August 5–9: Episode IX: The Science Awakens
Calling all Jedi, scoundrels, and ace pilots: the stars are calling! Do you have the skills to face the challenges and help defeat the evil Empire? Use your science knowledge to help free the galaxy and restore the Republic. May the F=ma be with you!
August 12–16: Agents of STEM
Welcome to the Training Academy, rookie! In order to become an Agent of STEM you need to make it through a week of science and engineering challenges. Explore the puzzling mysteries scientists are trying to solve around the world and recreate the experiments of famous Agents of STEM who came before you using tools of the trade. Put your Academy knowledge to the test at the end of the week to separate the real science from the fakes.
