More Information:
As you get ready for distance learning, it can be overwhelming thinking about how to begin. Families are juggling multiple family members who need adult work spaces as well as kid work spaces. Some kids can work in the same room, while others need to spread out. Sometimes kids want to work on the floor, while at other times, they may work at a table. How can you organize school supplies? Set up a daily routine? Set boundaries to decrease interruptions? Teach kids to take more ownership of their belongings?
As students grow during middle school, they can take more ownership of keeping track of their homework, turning in assignments on time, and creating systems to avoid forgetting things. We will discuss ways to encourage more student independence and support them as they develop more self-management of their daily routines and schoolwork. Families can add structure and more calm in the home by setting up a family calendar, family routines, and family paper management systems to deal with incoming and outgoing papers.
Join us for a time to plan and gather tips to make things easier on the whole family!

Workshops are given by Laura Sinclair, a professional home organizer and KonMari consultant in Houston, Texas. She has always loved organizing and helping people, even as a kid! She combines her love of teaching and organizing to help people declutter, reorganize, and solve their daily frustrations.
