11th Annual Weekend in Norfolk: Friday, July 31 - Sunday, Aug 2, 2026
Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.
At the center of the festivities is the newly expanded Sidewalk Sunday on August 2, when Robertson Plaza closes to traffic and transforms into a lively pedestrian marketplace filled with handmade goods, local creators, signed books, and live music. Visitors can also tour private and community gardens, enjoy art exhibitions and open studios, explore Norfolk’s historic treasures, and take part in outdoor adventures ranging from guided walks and yoga on the Green to gravel biking, fly fishing workshops, and self-guided trail explorations.
The weekend is packed with entertainment and family-friendly fun, with most events free and conveniently located throughout town. Enjoy concerts on the Green, live performances at Robertson Plaza, children’s activities, an ice cream social at the historic Music Shed, cultural exhibits and performances at the Connecticut-Asia Cultural Center, food trucks, local dining specials, and welcoming community traditions like weddings and vow renewals on the Green. Whether you come for the music, gardens, art, food, history, or simply the warm summer atmosphere, Weekend in Norfolk invites you to explore at your own pace and experience why Norfolk’s summer celebration feels like coming home. ABOUT THE WIN (WEEKEND IN NORFOLK) COMMITTEE
Now in its 11th year, the all-volunteer WIN Committee organizes two town-wide events annually: the Summer WIN and the Winter WIN. Norfolk’s town officials, the Economic Development Commission, and many local organizations, institutions, and individuals support these two town-wide festivals to welcome people from near and far to this lovely town in the Litchfield Hills. Information about both festivals is available online at weekendinnorfolk.org.
