History, Nature, Science, and Technology Camps for Hartford, CT
Camps that make you THINK!
Hartford, Connecticut is dedicated to educational experiences for our kids that are also FUN! The following are camps that have elected to be featured on this page, and below it are additional camps of which we at KidsOutAndAbout.com are aware.
If there is a history, science, nature, or technology camp that we have missed, please email us to let us know, and we'll add it promptly. Thank you!
Debate Camp is built for the eager learner in grades 5 to 11, who has an emerging interest in the wider world. We help build the highly transferrable skills of persuasive speaking, parliamentary debate and dialogue on the important and interesting matters of our time.
No previous experience is necessary. We provide training in:
• how to build a convincing debate case
• how to collaborate well
• how to carefully refute opponents’ points
• how to analyse and weigh evidence
• how to deliver speeches clearly and convincingly to a variety of audiences
Our program features parliamentary debate, persuasive and impromptu public speaking as well as a Model UN simulation. Our camps are a welcoming and safe place to develop new and valuable skills and most importantly we maintain and fun and engaging approach to all that we do. Join us in 2019!
Hartford families can find us at the Kingswood Oxford School, June 24 - 26. Enroll early, space is limited.
