Camp KO will provide a unique and fun learning environment for a young person with a passion for a specific sport, academic or artistic interest. Our focus is to give kids the tools and the time to develop their skills, make mistakes and recover from them, and feel equipped to manage challenges they will encounter throughout the rest of their lives.
Teachers and coaches will encourage participants to reach beyond their existing abilities, embrace struggle, and practice deeply and intently. Integrity and sportsmanship will be reinforced and rewarded at every opportunity.
Drawing on the “growth mindset” model defined by Stanford’s Carol Dweck, Ph.D., and the skill development insights from Dan Coyle’s Talent Code, Camp KO will encourage young people to learn more about themselves, gain self-confidence, and recognize that learning is a lifelong journey.
Camp KO is located on the beautiful campus of the Kingswood Oxford School in West Hartford, minutes from I84 and across the street from Blue Back Square and WH center.
