Character Design Workshop for Kids
Drawing Workshop with Local Artist & Teacher! Kids will start with dreaming up their own historical, superhero, or fantastical characters. Once their character takes shape, kids will then design clothing, experiment with hairstyles, and add unique details that bring their characters to life.

Calling all aspiring artists! In honor of the upcoming 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, local teacher & artist Omayra Rivera-Filardi will lead a special drawing workshop for children ages 7-12 inspired by the Fairfield Museum’s graphic novel The Culper Ring: The Spies of George Washington. Kids will start with dreaming up their own historical, superhero, or fantastical characters. Once their character takes shape, kids will then design clothing, experiment with hairstyles, and add unique details that bring their characters to life.
