The Connecticut Audubon Society’s summer camp at the Fairfield Nature Center is a state-licensed summer camp offering weekly experiences for ages 4-18 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Campers attend week-long, nature-themed programs to learn about wildlife up close, and build life-long connections to the natural world while having fun outdoors in a safe, small group setting.
Age-specific themes are planned each week that offer an excellent balance of fun and discovery. Activities take advantage of the natural features and habitats right at our doorstep and include opportunities to investigate nature’s riddles, learn about protecting wildlife habitats, develop outdoor skills and meet live animals. Programs will be outdoors as much as possible, and move indoors during inclement weather or high temperatures.
All camp programs are led by teacher-naturalists and counselors experienced in working with children. The camp will follow the policies and guidance provided by the Connecticut Office of Early Childhood Education.
