CAMP DESCRIPTION
The drums are the foundation on what the rest of the band can build upon. From a Blues Shuffle to modern-day “Trap” Hi-Hats, the drum is an ever-changing and evolving instrument that lays the foundation for the music that we all love and cherish. Artists who incorporated multiple drummers or large percussion sections, such as The Allman Brothers Band, Santana, and The Grateful Dead, will be featured in this show. Monday through Friday will be spent learning and rehearsing songs culminating in a live performance at the end of the week. Great for students 7-18 years of age who have had some previous instruction.
WEEKLY SCHEDULE
Camp runs Monday - Friday, 9am - 3pm each day
Each day will consist of musical exploration, introduction to rock instruments & fun music-based game & activities
On Friday, campers will play the songs they’ve been working on throughout the week!
WHAT TO EXPECT
Students can expect an exciting and educational week of learning music taught by our talented camp instructors. Each day, students are asked to bring a snack, water bottle and hearing protection.
