Newington Music's composition students investigate the sonic organization of musical works and performances, focusing on fundamental questions of unity and variety.

Once you learn why certain music sounds and feels a certain way, we'll show you how to capture these feelings and sounds with your own compositions, and learn how to use synthesisers and instruments to create a variety of sound textures. We'll study orchestration to see how instruments work, and when to use certain instruments for certain purposes.
You will learn music composition from Michael Montgomery, who has composed numerous works from a variety of musical genres. He has composed and produced music for various Musicals, radio commercials, websites, videos, Facebook games, and more.
