Early American Adventure Camp is the Noah Webster House's full day camp, offered in conjunction with West Hartford’s Westmoor Park.
Children can explore life in the 1700’s by spending a week as an early American child! Through activities at both the Noah Webster House and Westmoor Park, children experience first-hand the chores, games and history of the past. During the week, children help to cook their lunches over an open hearth, explore Noah Webster’s house and garden, work on crafts, make and play games, and learn colonial dances. By the end of the week, children will have written and performed their very own short skit. At Westmoor Park, children care for the barnyard animals, tend the vegetable garden, and create crafts from nature.
Camp is held at two different locations: Monday/Wednesday/Friday sessions will be held at the Noah Webster House, 227 South Main Street. Tuesday and Thursday sessions will be held at Westmoor Park, 119 Flagg Road.
