Family Volunteer Day

Imagine Nation-A Museum Early Learning Center celebrates National Family Volunteer Day, Saturday, November 19, from 8:00am to 10:00am at One Pleasant Street in Bristol, Connecticut.  For the tenth year in a row Imagine Nation will be joined by Team ESPN employees and invites families from across Connecticut, committed to help make a difference in their communities to join-in and volunteer at Family Day at Imagine Nation- A Museum Early Learning Center.

For over 25 years, Family Volunteer Day tradionally has been held on the Saturday before Thanksgiving to “kick-off” the holiday season with giving and service. On Family Volunteer Day, Imagine Nation-A Museum Early Learning Center is joining Disney Friends for Change and generationOn, to engage families in acts of service.

Imagine Nation- A Museum Early Learning Center has helped to promote programming for this national effort to bring families together to help those in need throughout the community of Bristol and Connecticut.  Coral Richardson, Imagine Nation-A Museum Early Learning Center Director said “We look forward to Family Volunteer Day, a wonderful collaborative community project each year”.

We are joining in the celebration of family volunteerism and making a difference by creating a Gobble Thanksgiving placemat for patients at Bristol Hospital, nursing homes, and shelters in the communityto brighten their holiday!   ESPN employee Sandy Maier notes how fun it is to bring her family in joining their community, to help others ---“The great opportunity about the National Family Volunteer Day is that it helps set an example for our children that communities should work together to help others.  I have brought my family every year to give back to our local community.”
