Celebrate America @ Performing Arts Center at Simsbury Meadows: Summer officially begins with Connecticut’s favorite Independence Day celebration! Featuring the Asylum Hill Congregational Church Choir, the Newington Church of Christ Congregational Choir, and soprano Sonja Dutoit Tengbland, this program will include all of your patriotic favorites, plus a tribute to Leonard Bernstein. Stay for fireworks following the concert! 7:30 pm - 11:00 pm
Killingly Red White & Blue BBQ: Friday, June 29, 2018 - 4:00pm to 9:45pm. Don't miss this amazing night at Owen Bell Park! Red, White, and Blue 3.2 - Register from 4:00-5:30pm $15 for adults and $10 for ages 18 and under. Race begins at 6:00pm. Top male and females will each receive 2 free Chicken BBQ tickets. Chicken BBQ - Delicious BBQ Chicken dinners made by the Danielson Lions from 5:30-7:00pm. Tickets limited so buy them now at the Killingly Parks and Recreation office!

Hebron's BOOM: Independence Day Picnic and Fireworks: Join the Hebron Lions for Fireworks at the fairgrounds on Saturday June 30th (Rain date Sunday, July 1st). Our gates will open at 2 pm, come enjoy bouncy rides for the kids and NEW this year a car show for the auto enthusiast. Not to mention food and drink for all. We look forward to seeing you. Pet Parade and Turn-of-the-Century Fest: Calling all pets! The Annual July 4th Pet Parade and Turn-of-the-Century Fest is back again! All community members and their pets are invited to take part in the Pet Parade around the Green. Prizes awarded to all pets. After the parade, enjoy old-fashioned games, including sack races, tug-of-war contests, seed spitting, and an ice cream social. All pets must be either on a leash or in a cage. Parade registration begins at 2:15-after the cannon fires on the Green for the 13 original colonies. Pets must be up-to-date on vaccines.

Happy 4th of July at Quassy Amusement Park With 3-D Fireworks! 3-D Fireworks spectacular over Lake Quassapaug. Special viewing glasses will be sold to benefit Healthy Eyes Alliance. 10:15 p.m. fireworks.
Mystic Seaport Independence Day Celebration: July 4th 9am-5pm. Celebrate America’s birthday circa 1876 this Fourth of July at Mystic Seaport. Enjoy boat races on the Mystic River, an old-fashioned spelling bee for children, and many other fun activities. Picnic alongside your 19th-century neighbors at noon and cheer for your favorite display in the Independence Day Parade at 1 p.m. Young patriots can even craft hats to wear in their very own section of the parade! A rousing 1876 Independence Day ceremony will be followed by an elegant concert featuring the Mystic Silver Cornet Band.

Enfield 4th of July Town Celebration: The Enfield Fourth of July Town Celebration is a three day event featuring: Taste of Enfield, Arts & Craft Fair, Parade, 5K Road Race, Kids Activities Fun & Free- From face painting to Lego-fun, and the jumbo moonwalk, your children will have a ball. Fireworks Spectacular, The Grand Finale of the Celebration, is the largest fireworks display in Northern Connecticut. Arrive early!

Vernon's July in the Sky: Activities at Henry Park, 120 South Street Vernon, beginning at 6 pm include face painting, live entertainment, and food vendors. Grab a spot in the park to see spectacular fireworks. Rain date is July 11. Admission: $5 per car, $1 for walk-in.
