History Through a Lens Workshop for 5th - 8th graders. This 3-class workshop is being held on three Saturdays: August 23, September 13, and September 27 from 10 am- 11:30 am. The class is taught by Kira Joshi and Samantha Fargione at the Weston History & Culture Center- 104 Weston Rd, Weston, CT. Over the course of three classes, students will dive into photographs from the Weston History & Culture Center archives and uncover the stories they tell. Students will also have the opportunity to become the storytellers by learning how to capture powerful images that express their unique perspectives of the world around them. No prior experience is required. Bring a camera or smartphone to capture photos. If you don’t have one, let us know, and we will provide one to share. Advanced registration is required and must be available to attend all three classes. The workshop is free for WHCC members and $10 for non-members.
