Homeschool Day: Be a Curator for a Day at Connecticut River Museum
Museum Curators have a big job! They take care of the Museum’s most precious objects and are responsible for researching and planning exhibits. But what exactly does a curator do in a day? Alongside our Museum’s Curator, learners will experience firsthand what it’s like to be a Curator by working with artifacts and creating our own museum.
Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.
Curriculum Connections: Learners will gather information about the functional role of a museum curator. Students will learn how to protect, preserve and interpret select artifacts from the Connecticut River Museum’s Collection.
This drop-off program is for homeschooled learners aged 6-12. Refunds will be given if there is 24-hour notice. Due to the weather, there may be lesson cancelations, to which your payment will be refunded. If you have any questions or concerns, please email the Director of Education, Lauren, at lbdionne@ctrivermuseum.org or call (860) 767-8269 x121
