Let’s show our Love for the Birds this upcoming Sunday, 2/13 on Valentine's Day weekend! Auerfarm Family Fun programs are the perfect opportunity to create new family heart-bonding memories while engaging in informational hand-on farm-based activities. You and your family will explore what types of birds live on the Connecticut farms during the winter and create bird feeders to place around the farm and to take one home.

Let’s show our Love for the Birds this upcoming Sunday, 2/13 on Valentine's Day weekend!

You and your family will explore what types of birds live on the Connecticut farms during the winter and create bird feeders to place around the farm and to take one home.

The Family Fun program format is scheduled twice a month on Sundays from 2pm-3:30pm and it is $10/per person; children under 2 attend for free. RSVP through link.

The Auerfarm Educators have created hands-on STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics) curriculum for families of all ages. The hour and a half events are filled with unique exploratory experiences that will engage your families and build lasting memories.

Maple Syrup from Tree to Bottle

Learn how maple syrup is made step by step, from tree to bottle. The true and authentic farm experience: visit our Sugar House, learn the structure of maple trees and how to tap a tree, practice with the tools, and finish on a sweet note tasting the maple syrup.

Fur & Feather

Why do birds have feathers? How does fur help mammals survive? Have a personal interaction with our chickens and rabbits, and learn more about these animals. Participate in a craft activity with the alpaca fiber.

Campfire Basics and Outdoor Cooking

Sitting around the fire brings the community together. Join us in learning how to safely build an outdoor campfire. Make a sweet treat by roasting the marshmallows over the fire to make S’mores. Take home our team’s favorite campfire recipes.
