What our organization offers:
Ages for which our activities are most appropriate:
The Academy of the Holy Family is a Catholic day and boarding high school for American and international young women. Our mission is to provide an environment in which learning is not just about the retention of information, but the application of knowledge, helping to develop both the spiritual and mental faculties of the student. Our highly tailored, student-centered curriculum is made possible because of our small class sizes. We send forth educated young women with ambition to strive for their fullest God-given potential to impact their world.

The Academy is approved by the State of Connecticut, and is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges.

It is owned and operated by the Congregation of the Sisters of Charity of Our Lady, Mother of the Church. The Order's General Council, along with a an additional group of stakeholders, forms the Academy's Advisory Board.

Through a challenging curriculum built on a supportive spiritual foundation, we empower young women from the United States and around the globe to achieve their full God-given potential to impact their world.

Because of its commitment to any girl who seeks such an environment regardless of ethnic background, country of origin, color, creed or the economic status of her family, the Academy makes every effort to maintain as low a tuition base as is possible, making quality Catholic education financially feasible.

Our work continues, and our mission is maintained. We are committed to guiding our students as they grow into young women of faith, intelligence, and strength.

What do girls' schools do best? A lot! “Whether they want to be astronauts, ambassadors or accountants, girls need to know-not just think-that nothing can stand in their way.” (National Coalition of Girls' Schools) This is what we do at the Academy of the Holy Family every day.

Tomorrow's leaders walk in our halls today. Come and see what life is like at the Academy of the Holy Family!
