Congregation Shir Shalom is warm and friendly. Our congregation connects people from diverse traditions and backgrounds who want to share a joyous spiritual and cultural experience. Our membership includes traditional and non-traditional Jews, interfaith, LGBTQ and multi-racial individuals and families of all ages. Though a Reform congregation, our congregants come from Reform, Conservative and Orthodox backgrounds or no religious background at all. We seek to inspire our congregants to add meaning to their lives and make the world a better place. We are committed to creating a dynamic and innovative environment through worship, education, music, social action, and fun community events. At our Early Childhood Center, we believe that children deserve early childhood experiences that develop their multi-faceted potential and increase their love of learning. Mutual respect between teachers, children and families are hallmarks of our school from its beginning in 1994. Jewish culture and identity are integrated into all aspects of the program. Shabbat and holidays are celebrated with music, cooking, arts & crafts and lots of fun.
