“How do I register?!” Registration is via Active Network and uses a "shopping cart model" - you can register multiple students / multiple courses all in one login! By hovering over the "i" icon on Active Network, you can see the cost of the course before checkout. Talcott Members also get $20 off each course; this discount is applied by using your membership code at check out. The registration fee is $5.95 per course, and applies whether you register online or with a mail-in form. Mail-in forms require a paper check for payment. Online registration is via credit card or debit card. It is not necessary to purchase registration insurance, although you might see it when you're checking out. This insurance has no affiliation with the Science Center, but is offered through Active Network.

From tornadoes to volcanoes, from floods to tsunamis, & lots in between, experience the science behind our planet’s most dramatic, explosive and extreme earth science events. Our live weather lab, earth cams, and earthquake monitoring will keep you up to date on our planet as it happens.
- Science & Art
CREATIVITY & SCIENCE GO HAND-IN-HAND! Students will use scientific specimens and methods to create original artwork; do still life drawings of bones and skulls, use microscopes to inspire abstract art, sketch live animals, paint with leaf pigments, and even perform some chemistry experiments. Be prepared for MESSY FUN as we put the “A” in STEAM!
