Groomers Club at US Horse Welfare & Rescue at Nod Hill

Welcome to USHWR’s Groomers Club, offering a unique opportunity for young equestrians to become part of an instrumental team assisting in weekly horse grooming and tack care in a safe and engaging environment. Those with enough horse experience to qualify will learn about properly grooming a horse, including brushing, mane and tail care, hoof care, bathing, and how to look for and treat various skin conditions, etc. Participants will be trained in the best practices for grooming a horse, ensuring both cleanliness and comfort for the animal. The program also involves essential tack cleaning, maintenance, and proper storage. The Groomers Club will be ongoing and is designed to provide your child the opportunity to become part of the team assigned to care for these horses on a weekly basis and develop valuable horsemanship skills along with a deeper understanding of horses’ needs and the responsibility of working with these majestic animals.
