Programs at US Horse Welfare & Rescue

Where Teens and Kids Build Skills, Confidence, and Real-World Responsibility...And adults get toi fidn the kid in themselves again!

At US Horse Welfare & Rescue, our programs are more than activities — they are guided, hands-on experiences designed to help young people grow, contribute, and discover what they are capable of.

Set on a peaceful farm with rescued horses, students step into an environment that is calm, purposeful, and focused on learning, where every week builds on the last and every participant plays a meaningful role.

Whether a child is just beginning, looking for structure, or ready to take on greater responsibility, our programs provide a clear path forward — one that develops confidence, work ethic, teamwork, and compassion.

What Makes Our Programs Different

This is not a drop-in activity.
It is a structured, curriculum-based experience that teaches responsibility, leadership, and life skills through real work with animals.

Participants learn to:

  • Care for horses and understand their needs
  • Develop responsibility and follow-through
  • Build confidence through hands-on achievement
  • Work as part of a team
  • Strengthen communication and problem-solving skills
  • Discover leadership through service and stewardship

These are skills that carry far beyond the barn — into school, careers, and everyday life.

A Calm, Purposeful Environment for Learning

Our academy is designed for students and families seeking an environment that is:

Calm. Tranquil. Supportive.

Created for riders and participants who want:

  • A no-pressure setting
  • A less competitive atmosphere
  • A strong focus on learning and progress
  • Meaningful challenges that build confidence
  • More practice, more responsibility, and more growth

We are proud to offer a setting that feels welcoming, focused, and grounded — where students can develop at their own pace while still being challenged to do their best.

Programs Offered

We offer a range of structured programs for children and teens, including:

  • Youth horsemanship and riding programs
  • Teen leadership and volunteer programs

Each program follows a guided progression, with skills building week by week so participants can see their own growth and success.
