Begin the evening under the 44 ft. dome in the Captain Alan M. Bean Planetarium, where we'll learn about the night sky, including the stories behind the stars and the myriad of constellations that man has created by virtually connecting these points of light to create pictures in the sky.
Afterwards, we'll enjoy nice, dark skies and head outdoors for celestial viewing atop Talcott Mountain! With a wide array of telescopes at our disposal, we'll be looking for stars, planets (including Venus and Jupiter) and constellations, including Ursa Major, Gemini and other celestial gems!
*PLEASE ARRIVE ON TIME! Late arrivals will not be allowed to enter the planetarium after the presentation begins at 7:15pm; they will, however, be able to participate in outdoor viewing with the group when the planetarium program concludes.
