Students gain exposure to new areas in science, nature, and technology; they build skills of a practicing professional, and they embark on creating original products or projects. The thrill of discovery and the satisfaction of success are "baked in" to our Saturday Programs.
PrimeTime Saturdays (K-3rd graders)

Learn what makes things work by bringing take-a-parts from home. Use our LEGO Technic kits to create new devices, get creative in our parts warehouse. You can even earn a "PrimeTime Patent" for your original creations and contraptions!

From fossils to the future, find out how birds, bugs, bats, airplanes, gliders, jets, robots and satellites fly and soar. You'll build models and test them, experiment with designs, and launch water, paper, and solid-motor rockets!

Research the weather at our mountaintop meteorology lab. Instruments, remote monitoring, full access to National Weather Service data, a 40-mile view and labs for forecasting, modeling and tracking weather and climate give you the tools of a professional meteorologist!

So many of the important species on our planet are smaller than us, have more legs, eyes, wings than us, and play a huge part in how the rest of life can survive and thrive. With 20 acres of forest and field plus our ecology lab, you'll have access to research alongside a professional entomologist!
