Teens to the Rescue: A Volunteer Readiness Program at US Horse Welfare & Rescue at Nod Hill

Be a part of something bigger in your community by helping care for USHWR’s rescued horses! We have a great group of kids who come every week to help do a few chores and learn a bit about caring for our horses, all under the watchful eye of an instructor. This program is great for kids who need to get out of the house for a bit or would like to volunteer somewhere but are a little too young and can be used for schools’ mandatory community service requirements. From learning horsemanship to barn management, your child will build work related skill sets, build confidence, and make friends in our after-school weekly sessions.
