YWCA Hartford Region

Our programs put our mission of eliminating racism and empowering women into action every day. We offer programs that address the needs of community members at every stage of life and transform lives of nearly 2000 women, children and families in the Hartford region each year. We offer: Licensed childcare programs for infants, toddlers and preschoolers, as well as before and after school care and vacation camps for school-aged children; Leadership Development for teens to foster personal growth; Education and career development for women pursuing degrees at local community colleges; Emergency shelter and permanent supportive housing for those experiencing homelessness; And opportunities for community members to advocate for themselves and others locally and across the state.
