Since 1980, Steve & Kate’s Camp has put kids in charge–allowing campers to choose from a variety of activities in real-time, including sewing, stop-motion animation, coding & gaming, sports & recreation, maker crafts, water play, baking, and more. As children are empowered to make their own choices at camp, they discover new reserves of confidence, resiliency, and creativity–learning to course correct and trust themselves as they go. Families can buy any number of days, to use at any time–no weekly reservations required. Or, buy a Summer Pass, which covers the whole season. Either way, any unused Passes are automatically refunded at summer’s end. Ages: 4–12 | Lunch, snacks & all hours (8am–6pm) included.

Kids ages 6 to 15 can do a fun, hands-on deep dive into the world of sharks, seals and other marine animals during the 2025 Summer Camp programs of The Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk. Young campers will explore the wonders of the ocean world through fun stories and games. Older kids will learn how technology and engineering can solve complex environmental problems like water pollution, marine debris, and storm resiliency. Our summer camp program integrates science with art and literature to deepen children’s understanding of animals and the environment.

Lighthouse offers a wide array of full and half-day summer camps from June through August for young writers ages eight to 18. Mystic Seaport Museum offers a number of summer camps and programs that provide a unique learning adventure! Our Summer Day Camp offers campers ages 4 to 16 a kid’s-eye view of maritime history as they explore the Museum. Community Sailing day camps provide an opportunity for kids ages 6 to 15 to build and refine their sailing skills with our sailing instructors on the Mystic River. Our residential, Joseph Conrad Overnight Camp invites campers ages 8 to 15 to spend a week with us, learning to sail by day, participating in fun maritime themed activities in the evenings, and sleeping aboard a historic ship by night.
